The gorgeous stone featured in this pendant is a Plume Agate doublet. The top part of the doublet is a Plume Agate - with amazing plumes. Under that is glass with a metallic blue top. This gives the finished stone a shimmery blue color that immediately made me think of a tropical undersea coral garden. I expanded that idea to the design above the stone. I cut "coral" branches out of fine silver (.999 silver) and melted silver dust on them to create texture. I riveted the center branch using small tubes to create a higher layer, and also soldered one side branch to be slightly higher than the other. That allowed me to add little copper fish that appear to be swimming around behind some of the coral. Two bronze sea horses float lazily between the coral branches. An octopus is cut out behind the stone... a little underwater surprise! The bail is hand cut and riveted.

SIZE: This pendant measures about 2 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. It is sold without a chain. I offer a variety of chains and cords which can be purchased separately. It is pictured here with a sterling wheat chain.
