What's not to like about larimar - lots of it! The lovely larimar cab used in the pendant is soft blue and white, bringing images of a summer sky over a welcoming ocean. The white areas have a bit of shimmery chatoyance.  The stone is set in a fine silver bezel on a sterling silver back. A mermaid is cut out behind the stone, seated on a rock with waves in front of her - a little whimsy to make you smile.

I decided to give this pendant a chain of tropical ocean colored larimar and faceted apatite beads. Little round sterling silver beads and tiny dark teal seed beads separate the larger beads. The hammered sterling silver toggle clasp is hand made and hammered.

This is one of a new collection which features beaded necklaces and metalsmithed cabochon pendants as focals.

SIZE: The pendant measures about 1 3/8 inches long and about 7/8 inches wide. The necklace is just under 20 inches.
