This necklace is all about blue: the soft blue sky along the horizon, the deeper blue of a summer sky above, and the deepest blue of the ocean depths.

The pendant features a softly glowing pale blue chalcedony set in sterling and fine silver. I dangled a medium blue "denim" lapis lazuli below it. The beaded necklace is made with chalcedony beads and a combination of medium blue and deep blue lapis lazuli. The lapis beads are enclosed by small silver bead caps; round sterling silver beads are also a part of the design. Tiny glass seed beads separate each of the larger beads, keeping the necklace from being too heavy - both in looks and in weight. The sterling silver toggle clasp is hand made.

SIZE: The necklace is 20 inches. The pendant hangs about 1 3/4 inches. The top part of the pendant (chalcedony) is 1/2 inch wide; the little lapis lazuli is about 3/8 inch wide.

MATERIALS: Sterling silver, Chalcedony, Lapis Lazuli, Japanese seed beads, steel stringing material
