This wonderful agate cabochon, with its muted blues and fluffy white orbs, made me think of a twilight sky with clouds scudding across a rising moon. I used that image in my design, extending the blue "hills" with antiqued copper and adding a rose cut moonstone above. I wanted to create layers of clouds, with one reaching a bit across the moonstone. I started by soldering a few small hammered fine silver clouds to the back. I created three additional clouds and added depth and texture to them by melting silver dust. I riveted them to the back through differing lengths of tube which created the layers. I hammered and filed the rivet heads to help them look like another layer of clouds.  The cut-out on the back shows a little twilight scene of its own, with trees and an owl flying overhead. The back has been textured to shimmer a bit in the light.
