This small pendant features a glittery dark, dark purple druzy agate. It is so dark that it really presents itself as black. I decided the perfect foil for it would be gold. The druzy is set in fine silve on a sterling silver backplate. I added three 18K gold balls on one side above the druzy, and a little Golden Citrine on the other. The citrine is rose cut; I decided to set it so the facet is on the bottom and the flat side is on top. When you look at it from the front, the facets sparkle below the stone. When you look at it from the side, the top is flat. The bail is hand cut and riveted with an 18K gold rivet.
Lapidary work on this very cool cabochon was by Juvy Andres of JC Cabochons.
