The colors and shapes on this beautiful Desert Fire Jasper cabochon made me think of fall, with red and orange leaves flying in the air, leaving bare branches behind. I set it on a silver back with fine silver bezel, and added stamped and shaped copper leaves above the stone. The hand cut, riveted bail also features a small copper leaf. I cut a bare tree out behind the stone, with a winter moon above it. I call this pendant: Fall to Winter.
Lapidary work on this wonderful Desert Fire Jasper is by Laurie Gates Engelhardt.
