This hammered copper cuff features a gorgeous North Ridge Plume Agate. This stone comes from the same southeastern part of Oregon as Graveyard Point Plume Agate; both share the same wonderful streaks and plumes of white, yellows and browns. I thought this stone looked like a spectacular lightning storm, so of course my design had to include lightning bolts. The cuff is fairly thick copper (16 gauge or about 1 1/4 mm) which I hammered with a large faced hammer to create a subtle texture. The lightning bolts and the bezel around the stone are fine silver (.999 silver). I antiqued the cuff and polished it to bring out the warmth of copper and the bright contrast of the silver lightning.
Although the cuff has been hammered in order to harden the metal, copper is relatively soft so it can become misshapen if it is stretched or squeezed. Please see Caring for your Cuff for more information on how to successfully adjust the size (only by about 1/4 inch) and care for your cuff bracelet.
SIZE: This cuff has an inside circumference of about 6 1/2 inches and an inside diameter of just over 2 1/4 inches (from side to side). Diameter from front to back is about 1 7/8 inches. The opening is about 1 1/8 inches. Cuffs can be very slightly adjusted (no more than 1/4 inch at the very most). This adjustment should be done only once as squeezing and stretching will compromise the metal as well as the setting. See Caring for your Cuff for more information.
