This woven beaded bracelet features hematite as the central focus. The little pink seed beads are Czech, while the black faceted stones along the edges are black onyx. The pink beads are a dusty soft pink rather than being bright. The swiveling lobster clasp and extender chain are sterling silver. The extender chain ends with a hematite bead and a couple of pink seed beads.
Hematite in jewelry is often man-made and is magnetized. Based on tests I've conducted, I believe these are natural hematite as compared to the man-made variety. They are not magnetic, and when scratched on a rough surface, the test bead created a dark red dust; both of these tests indicate natural polished hematite.
SIZE: This bracelet measures about 6 1/2 inches to 7 1/2 inches. Hematite has more weight than many stones and glass. Although this bracelet is very comfortable to wear, you will notice it a bit more than some.
