The color and shape of this lovely Chrysoprase stone made me think of Art Deco. I used a combination of curves and straight line, as well as texture and smooth surfaces to create contrast and a little tension. I also decided to not stick with complete symmetry on both sides. I added hammered curves of fine silver to cover half of each side of the Chrysoprase - one on top and one on bottom. Faceted 4mm Green Topaz (heat treated) and hammered silver balls decorate the space below and above the hammered elements. The chain runs through a tube at the top.
I've been told this has a bit of an Egyptian look to it; artists who created during the Art Deco movement of the 1920s and 30s were often inspired by the discovery of King Tut's tomb in 1922.
SIZE: The pendant measures about 2 1/8 inches wide, and about 7/8 inches high. It comes with a sterling rolo chain in the length of your choice.
