The dark blue Czech Glass beads dangling on these earrings have splashes of turquoise, which I complimented with little turquoise beads at the top. A bronze bead cap at the top of the Czech glass triangles and at the bottom of the turquoise connect the two beads. as do the tiny dark blue and turquoise seed beads. Wires used are sterling silver; the ear wires are also sterling silver. This color combination makes me think of the ocean: dark blue in the depths and clear turquoise in the shallows, with silvery and gold sparkles when the sun shines on the water.
SIZE: These earrings hang about 2 1/8 inches and are just under 1/2 inch wide at the bottom. Each earring weighs about 2 grams.
MATERIALS: Czech glass, Turquoise, Sterling silver, Bronze, Japanese glass seed beads
PROPERTIES OF STONES (information compiled from various sources): Turquoise is sacred to both Native American and oriental traditions. It is said to help promote honest and clear communication. In traditional thought, Turquoise unites the earth and the sky, bringing together male and female energies. This stone is supposed to be empathetic and balancing and assist creative problem-solving.
