This lovely Jasper looked like rocky mountains with the sun setting behind it and a few stars beginning to appear. I created the landscape on this copper cuff with that in mind. The mountains on either side of the stone are cut from fine silver (.999 silver). I added fine silver stars and a little bronze owl winging its way across the sky. The stone is set in a fine silver bezel. The copper has been antiqued and polished.

Although the cuff has been hammered in order to harden the metal, copper is relatively soft so it can become misshapen if it is stretched or squeezed. Please see Caring for your Cuff for more information on how to successfully adjust the size (but only by about 1/4 inch) and care for your cuff bracelet.

SIZE: This cuff has an inside diameter of about 7 inches. I can be slightly adjusted but no more than 1/4 inch. The cuff band is about 13/16ths of an inch wide and about 1mm thick. Please see last photo for inside diameter measurements. The stone measures just under 1 1/2 inch by 1 inch.

MATERIALS: Copper, Fine silver (.999 silver), bronze, McDermitt Jasper

PROPERTIES OF STONES (information compiled from various sources): This jasper comes from an area on the Oregon-Nevada border.  Jasper in general is considered to be the "supreme nurturer." It is said to bring tranquility and wholeness, especially in times of stress as well as provide courage and stimulate the imagination.
