This copper shawl pin, or fibula, is cut in the shape of a heart. I ran it through the rolling mill with a piece of burlap to give it a woven texture. Flattened silver balls have been soldered along the edges. The copper pin is an arrow with a silver feathered end. The pointy end is rounded so it won't cut the threads of the shawl. This is meant for loosely woven or knit cloth where the pin can slide through holes in the weave. The heart and pin have been antiqued and polished.
The beautiful shawl pictured was woven by my daughter. You can see her work at https://textilerow.indiemade.com.
SIZE: The heart measures about 1 7/8 inches in height and width. The pin measures 1 3/4 inches in length.
